A short story by Kid K. (11 years old)

Andy and his pals race through the neighborhood. "We need to get them" yells Ethan."Squad one go left, squad two go right!" yells Andy. "Good plan, we will close in on them and handcuff them" somebody says. They follow through with Andy's plan, it works, and they handcuff the felons and have a court case."Dang, the court just keeps letting these same crooks go without punishment," says Andy, " Yeah, they just let'em back out, give'em their bikes back and everything" agrees Steve. "This is injustice!" yells Ben. "We just wanted to help enforce the rules, it's the least we can do for our own neighborhood."
The police in this neighborhood have eight members. Steve leads squad one and Andy doubles as leader of squad two and head police officer. They deal with crooks from other neighborhoods. We asked them what do you do about affairs in other neighborhoods. "Well, I receive notice about the crimes in other neighborhoods through my walkie talkie. Each neighborhood participating in the police program has at least one. Our neighborhood is lucky. We have walkie-talkies even when we are off duty. If we have a big crime, we will call another neighborhood and ask for assistance and they will do the same if they need help. We just bike to the other neighborhood and get the criminal," says Andy. "Yeah. Andy just tells us if there is an out of neighborhood criminal then we go handcuff them," says Ben.
It's no wonder that this neighborhood has been awarded the safest neighborhood two years in a row. "This is a truly amazing neighborhood!" said Andy. And you could help your neighborhood enforce the rules, just like us.
