Kid Critiques: Harry Potter Series Book Review

Have you ever read the Harry Potter series? It's an amazing series! The Harry Potter series will keep you reading left and right you won't want to stop. Harry Potter brings its reader on a thrilling adventure with twists and turns. There's mystery everywhere you look and even a few laughs. The Harry Potter series is not for the faint in heart, as it has seven books with each book being about seven hundred pages long.

The series follows Harry Potter and his friends as they attend the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Harry has challenges just a like a normal kid and also ones only a wizard would have. There are girls, bullies, mean teachers, but also crazy spells and life threatening danger.

The Harry Potter series can be violent. It has killing curses and dark wizards that the protagonist Harry Potter must face along his journey so younger viewers might want to keep that in mind. If you are a younger reader this series could be too scary. The books get progressively more dark and violent, so some readers might be able to handle the first and second book but not the later ones. The entire series is good for third graders, or mature second graders. I recommend this series. I did not think it was dark or scary, but I could see it scaring some viewers.
